Ground Score Association (GSA) is transforming Portland by providing dignified, fair-wage employment to individuals facing housing and employment challenges. Through initiatives like the G.L.I.T.T.E.R. program, GSA hires those experiencing homelessness to collect litter and offer tent-side waste services, fostering environmental stewardship and community pride. The People's Depot, a beverage container redemption center operated by and for canners, processes over 30,000 containers daily, preventing more than 1,100 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. Remarkably, over 70% of unhoused workers involved with GSA have secured housing, demonstrating the organization's profound impact. By supporting GSA, you're not only contributing to environmental sustainability but also empowering marginalized individuals to rebuild their lives and strengthen our community.
